Our range of mini dal mills is use for making carrying different processes cleaning and grading, pitting, pre-treatment with Oil & water, conditioning, de- husking & splitting. Viratra Engineering offer mini dal mill. This mini dal mill is simple in construction and easy to operate & maintain. It consist of horizontal tapered roller is covered with emery coating, surrounded by a screen through which the husk is discharged. The shelled dal passes through an aspirating fan on the oscillating sieve unit, where appropriate grading of dal is done It is run on only 2 H.P. Automatic arrangement are made for collection of de husked and split dal , un de husked and split dal, un de husked dal , brackens, husk in separate containers and bags. This machine offers dust free operation, does not cause pollution, retains proteins, natural shine etc … motor is provide with a pulley and is mount at the bottom of the stand with V-belt to drive it. The motor requirement is of 2 HP single / three phases.

Intake & Cleaning

Feed the raw pulse by hoper in to the machine. Raw pulses need to be cleaned before milling. Normally rotary or reciprocating screen cleaners are used. These graders separate the grains into different fractions based on size. Light impurities are removed with the help of blower or suction fans.

Grading

This unit consists of a vibratory inclined sieve, hopper, grain collector, waste collector and motor. The vibratory sieves are providing with different size holes to match the requirements of the type of dal being process. The vibrations are inducing by a cam-operated link, which is mounts on a motor driven shaft.

Water Mixing

A screw conveyor allows passing the scratched or pitted material through it and mixing of some edible oil like linseed oil is complete. The linseed oil is use at the rate of 1.5 to 2.5 kg/tones of pulses (please refer our guideline for lintel). These are keeping on floors as required to diffuse the oil.

Drying

Generally, sun drying on rooftop or in open drying yard is practiced. Since sun drying is a weather dependent process, the operation of the mill stops during rainy and cloudy seasons. To make conventional milling plants operational round the year, artificial or mechanical drying is essential. Accordingly, various manufacturers developed some batch or continuous dryers for use in dal mills. In order to avoid sun drying, CFTRI, Mysore has developed thermal treatment process using dryers.

Husk Removing

For husking of conditioned pulses emery stone coated emery rollers are used. In one pass about 50-75% of pulses are de husked. Husked pulses are split into two parts. De husked split pulses are separated by sieving and the husk is aspirated off. Anti-shoplifting pulses and tail pulses are again de husked and milled in a similar way. For complete de husking and splitting the whole process is repeated two to three times.

Air & Dust Cleaning

The capacity of the machine depends upon size and speed of the disk. Attrition mills are vertical or horizontal stone or emery disks. Some millers to minimize breakage during splitting use elevator and hard surface combination. Dehusked splits are dropped from a height of about 3-5 m on a hard surface to obtain splits. Impact splitter machine consists of mild steel blades mounted on shaft inside an enclosed casing.

Color Sorting

To split the dehusked pulses and pulse seeds, roller mills, under runner disk made of medium size (24–30 No.) granules. Under disk runner machine consists of two horizontal disks with 1.25 cm emery coating. One of the disks is fixed whereas other one rotates. This rubbing action causes splitting of dehusked whole (i.e., Gota). It can also be used for splitting of urdbean, chickpea, lentil, mungbean and soybean.

Polising

Cylindrical hard rubber roll, leather belts or emery cone polisher is used for the purpose. Rollers mounted with brushes can also be used to impart shining to the dal. Powder particles are removed by rubbing action. Depending upon level of polishing 2, 3, 4 or 5 screw conveyors can be used. Water or oil is applied at the entrance of the unit, worm inside the mixing unit acts as a polisher, often dal is required to be dried prior to final packaging.

Quality Check

After polishing dal comes at the quality insection staion. Here we check the quality of dal by inspecting some pre defined perameters that our dal has to achive must. Hi tech machinery and the experienced manpower do this job very easily. If they satisfied with the quality of dal than dal will go to the next station

Packaing

Here we pack the dal in to bag with the different weight option. Our packaging will weigh the dal in put the dal in ti the bag &sealing mahcine will seal the bag properly. Printer machine print the batch number & dates on the bag. Now this dal is ready to ship.
